Starting April 27, 2020 –Phase III

PreK
Print materials will be available in three-week learning cycles. All materials will be printed and mailed to students’ homes. Additionally, the print materials will be available on the BCPS website in printable form. Print materials will provide the following lessons: daily lessons for English Language Arts and Math, and one content lesson per week (Science, Social Studies, or Health) on rotation. Students will have an opportunity to participate in daily learning opportunities through virtual class meetings. Teachers will offer the opportunity for flexible small group instruction during teacher’s designated office hours. Students will have opportunities to demonstrate their new learning based on curriculum goals.


Grades K-5
Each week, students will be exposed to new curriculum goals. Teachers will work with families of students in Grades K-5 to provide a device to students in need of one. Devices will be mailed directly to students’ homes. Students will have an opportunity to participate in daily learning opportunities through virtual class meetings and lessons. Teachers will offer the opportunity for flexible small group instruction during teacher’s designated office hours. Students will have opportunities to demonstrate their new learning based on curriculum goals.

Print Pathway

Starting April 27th, the print pathway will only be provided for students without digital access. Papers packets will not continue to be mailed to all students. To request paper packets or to request support in obtaining digital access, please contact your child's teacher or one of our school administrators.

Digital Pathway

New eLearning lessons posted each week on Schoology to complete during that week as follows:

  • 2 English Language Arts lessons
  • 2 Math lessons
  • 1 Content lesson (Science, Social Studies, or Health) on rotation
  • 4 Special Area Lessons (Art, Music, P.E., Library)
