Just for Fun! Resources & Ideas

Parents, don’t forget to have some fun with your children during this time away from school. Playing with your kids creates authentic opportunities for developing logic, strategic thinking, and reasoning skills. Even more importantly, playing games together helps enforce concepts such as taking turns, sharing, and how to win & lose graciously. Additional resources and ideas will be updated regularly below:

  • From Mrs. Styer: warm weather is great for taking a walk and collecting sticks and stones for painting and decorating with markers. Fun with found materials.
  • Do an outdoor scavenger hunt together! The Buggy and Buddy website has a list of 30 different scavenger hunts for children (and grown-ups) of all ages!
